I am a Commercial Manager for Jennings on Monument Business Park in Chalgrove and have been here since 2009.  We are a relatively small team of 13 so my role can be quite varied, ranging from marketing to organising events, team development to IT.  Much of my earlier career was in and around the property sector, primarily residential with some small scale commercial development later on.

Jennings own and manage Monument Park – we look after the 80 businesses based here and their 500+ employees.  We have also built strong links with several Oxfordshire charities and social enterprises, and are involved with many other parts of the local community too.

Over a number of years we’ve been developing a way of behaving in business which is based on our values; we believe respect, honesty, transparency and courtesy are all good standards to bring to business. We adopt this ethos with our tenant businesses, our suppliers, our associates and partners.   It is reassuring that this way of working can be commercially successful as well as morally fulfilling.

I have no particular background in Education, although last year started working with Icknield as an Enterprise Advisor through O2i (Opportunity2Inspire) helping the school connect with more local businesses and introduce the students to a wider range of enterprises.  The aim is to give them a broader knowledge of employment opportunities and hopefully inspire an entrepreneurial spirit!

I am excited by the prospect of working more with Icknield, particularly at this stage of its development, and hope to bring a perspective which is fresh, challenging and supportive.  It will also be a very interesting challenge for me and I am sure will be a great learning experience as well.
