The residential trips that we run as a school are always very popular. They are also, of course, the trips where the price is higher, and because of this we have been doing a piece of work to provide an illustration of likely residential trips (including approximate prices) across upcoming years.
Along with the document shared with the newsletter, we would make a couple of points:
• While we make every attempt to provide accurate information, of course there may be other residentials that we run in this time period, and we equally can’t guarantee that all the trips on the document will run. This is presented as a guide only, to help you with your long-term planning.
• We do launch these residential trips in time for payment plans, to spread the cost across a number of months, to be in place.
• We aim to move to a two-year cycle for the Sports Tour and Ski Trips, with the two trips to alternate. In order to do this and avoid there being a three-year gap until the next ski trip, there would be a year (2025/26) where we would aim to run both trips in the same year, with there also being a ski trip the next year (2026/27). Parental feedback has suggested that there would be appetite for this, even if it were a smaller trip than we have recently completed.
• We are looking at moving the ski trip to February: this is based on there being more of a guarantee of snow (which we are told is an important component of such a trip!)
